I’ve been scouring eBay for months looking to buy someone’s old journal or diary. Reading about these people’s lives and what they did, even the most mundane things interests me. The only problem is, old handwritten journals and diaries are expensive! There’s really not that big of a market for it, only a handful of them are available that reach into the $200’s and above.. So the next best thing I thought would be old letters so once I switched my search to Etsy.com for old letters, bingo! I was on my way to starting a new collection. Fast forward 2 weeks and I’m now in possession of over 50 letters that I’ve decided to type up and post on here to let everyone else read and enjoy them as well. So look forward to a new feature here on (semi)creative genius, The Forgotten Mailbox. Each week I’ll post another letter from the same person until I move on to the next. If possible I’m going to link to things they’re talking about in the letters, recipes, maps of where they lived, etc to make it a more interactive experience.
