Dear Mother,

Appreciated your note yesterday. And the little poem was so nice – probably shouldn’t of called, but wanted to talk to you – hope to see Frank too.

It helped to get moved back up town yesterday; at least I know what I was doing – Ate lunch at the banks cafeteria – lobster newburg, cottage cheese, etc – even “lusted” over on “sweet tater” pie – Anytime you or Va want to eat up there, just come on –

Mary Jane & Mrs. Miller asked me to eat with them today – Janice Jones (the nurse in Oratonio) and I are going to supper Friday nite before the rehearsal at the auditorium at 9:00 –

Saw Mr. Motley Plonk & Thad Harrison yesterday – Asked about you – Mr. Poter looked a little better.

Dropped by and gave Mr. Tibbs a few cigars – his birthday – he had a real bad day – he asked about you too.

Hope the sun will soon come out as to help all our morales – and the “mess” in the basement too –

All My Love –

Frances
