Ok so the video for this week is the end scene of The Devil's Rejects. On the train ride home the other day I was listening to freebird on my ipod and it made me think what a great scene this was and what a perfect use of this song. If you saw this movie you know that these guys are badass, they torture, they kill, they mutilate. But the way this scene was shot it makes you feel bad for these characters even though they're mass murders and CRAZY.
The flashbacks to when they were happy, back to better times and dancing around with each other is just so crazy because it's shot like how they would shoot it if the people who were about to get killed were the innocent ones and showing you that they don't deserve to die. And going out in a blazing glory with guns drawn when the music picks up the tempo, it just works so well together. These guys do what they want, don't change for anybody, and fight till they die. Also, Rob Zombie's new film is coming out in August, the remake of Halloween and I'm anticipating it sooo much. The trailer for it looks hella good and I'm interested to see what he does with this film because remaking a movie of this caliber is a tough undertaking. I'm thinking it's going to be great cause he's got a good knowledge of what works in horror films and I'm hoping we see many more films from him.
