Soooo my origami-a-day calendar alerted me that on this day in 1922 the door to King Tut's tomb was first opened and I get to make an origami mummy.. how appropriate =) I'll post the photo when I get around to it.



Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities has worked with CT scans to recreate what King Tutankhamun's face would have looked like when he was alive.

yea.. mine just came out looking like a pleated crumple of blue polka dot paper.. no pictures, I don't want to embarrass myself =)

Aww, man -- and I was SO looking forward to seeing how the Mummy turns out! Oh well.... You need that fun calendar for next year too!
